In April 2025, Google announced a game-changing update to BigQuery ML: native AutoML integration. This allows users to build powerful machine learning models directly inside BigQuery without writing any code. Now, analytics engineers and data scientists can train, evaluate, and deploy models using simple SQL commands, dramatically speeding up the ML workflow. AutoML models can be easily applied to existing BigQuery datasets and seamlessly visualised in Looker dashboards.
